The poem is not about math, but has a mathematical form called the Fib. This form is based on the Fibonacci sequence (1,1,2,3,5,8,…). Each verse has six lines and twenty syllables, with each line having the syllable count of the corresponding Fibonacci number. I’ve written three stanzas in this form, and I’ve added a little rhyming to twist it up.
see the light –
it is a warning
of the fast approaching day – blight!
each night. Time soon brought
the light. Stop time! Let darkness stay
no light crest
horizon. My bane
is morning light. Haste sun to west!
